A hop, skip, and a thump!

Ween bounces through the meadow, happy that he couldn't see anyone watching him, he rolls around in the sweet smelling flowers, basking in the beauty of the meadow and the light and warmth of the sun, he suddenly starts doing his little skippy run again, hopping along, accelerating faster and faster, before tripping over some tangled plants, the light pattering turning into a few thumps, whumps, and then the sound of him sliding across the grass. Eventually, he comes to a halt, shaking his head before jumping back to his feet, laughing to himself as he chases his tail around.

Core roared a little, yet still not enough to pass as an attack, as she ripped the roots of the grass out of the ground one by one waiting for an unsuspecting Pokemon to come by. It'd been hours since she'd gotten lost so she decided to train... on the helpless tiny green blades under her feet. "HA! Take that! And that!!" She then got up with a cocky smile as she stood proudly over the now destroyed section of grass. "I'm gonna be so strong!! Just like Mother!! Any Pokemon who dare step in my domain shall be destroyed!"

She clenched one paw and brought it up to the sky to finish her victory stance as a sudden wind whipped past the young, albino charmander causing her to coil her tail around her. It was winter anyways... the reason she was out was to 'defeat' the weather and bring back the sun. She then instinctively fell low to the ground and froze as she heard the tall grass being crushed by a nearby sound.

Ween moans, having left a rather impressive ditch in the ground for such a small pokemon, he just starts trying to work his head out the hole which it had so neatly gotten stuck in; last thing he wanted was an angry ratatat, or whatever made the hole, he eventually pull his head free, flying up into the air a small bit before landing back in the tall grass. "Oww..... The world is spinning again."

Core narrowed her eyes as she cautiously stepped through the tall grass the way her mother taught her and 'trying' not to make too much racket, yet the rustle of the grass against her feet made that a little bit impossible. She growled at that fact and stood up quietly getting to the spot she'd heard her next 'opponent'. Without thinking, she lept out of the grass, claws straight up, headed straight towards the little brown Eevee only to land a few feet away, landing with a loud thud on her stomach.

"Oww... YOU'LL PAY FOR THAT! FIGHT ME!!" She shouted fiercely flashing the Eevee a cocky grin as she prepared her fighting stance. So she hadn't gotten very far with other pokemon but this one might be different... There was no way she'd let this weakling know she'd lost!

Ween kneads the earth with his paws, looking at the charmander with a tilted head, tail swishing calmly. "Are you alright? This grass hurts to fall on; and it trips me up so often." Ween hops up to Core, bouncing around her in a circle "Ooh; you're pretty~"

Core growled and attempted a few scratch attacks wondering if this was some kind of strategy... This little brown ball of fur was just too quick for her causing her to get annoyed... "URGH...STAY STILL!!" Core shouted through gritted teeth as she paused then jumped at the Eevee when she thought she had him yet just fell flat on her stomach yet again. 'What's with this thing...?? Why can't I catch it..." Core then noticed her tail flame and quickly thrusted it in front of her hoping to trip the Eevee up.

Core's snow white lips peeled away from her snow white fangs as this Eevee was just about to let out the 'molten' locked inside her.

Ween starts running circles around her faster, giggling as he started using the tail as a hurdle, evidently having the best time ever "Whee~ This is fun!" he says, eventually slowing down from tiredness, laying down, snuggling next to Core "Tired now."

Core's tail flickered and sparked in agitation as the puff ball just jumped right over her tail then had the audacity to ... wait... What the heck is going on?? Core paused looking at the tiny fluff ball beside her Huh, I guess it is kinda cute... poor little guy... WAIT, WHAT AM I SAYING?? FRY THAT STUPID LITTLE FUR-BALL OR IT IS GOING TO MAKE A FOOL OUT OF YOU!!" Core's tail roared up a little higher as she was expecting this to be some kind of attack and pushed him away.

"You can't fool me!! I'll crush you for this!" She dove into the nearest patch of tall grass not really sure what his game was or why this was happening... normally, she'd upset the pokemon enough so it does ..... eventually cause her to faint but still!! She wasn't some push over to be swayed by some adorable fluff ball... that's weakness to it's fullest and she wasn't going to go through it again... Not again... Please... An image of her former self all beaten up and bruised limping home after being ambushed by the other pokemon burned bright in her mind. She absolutely couldn't let this puff ball go so easily...

He just jumps up again, smiling, bouncing after her "I love hide and go seek! What shall I count to? Can you hide if I give you thirty seconds, or do you want a bit more~" he asks brightly, waiting at the edge of the tall grass, tail brushing the grass behind him. He kneads the ground again, ears twitching

Core then stopped and dropped her head... this had to be some kind of attack... this... Why? She felt a tiny tear threaten to crawl down her face but she quickly shook it off before it had the chance... "He'll use you... he'll destroy you... Friendship doesn't exist... Upon hearing the overly happy Eevee follow her into the grass she quickly shook off the feeling of 'weakness' Surrendering to Friendship would only open yourself up to more pain... You know this... but ... You also know why you must try and defeat him. She slowly turned towards the sound of the happy Eevee bouncing towards her as she opened her arms letting the tiny tips of her claws glow as she prepared the scratch attack yet again...

"There's no way I'm gonna show this thing weakness... not now not ever!!" She roared waiting to be confronted by the tiny fluffy thing... Despite her mother's lectures, there's still not much she knew about the Eevee... It was a normal type... but that's about it. This one had to be up to something. She had to get stronger. She knew better than to let the tiny fluff ball see her weak side and bolted out front. "It's now or never." She said through the rocky growl in her throat.

He would have been stood still, eyes closed and counting, tail swishing, he opens his eyes at her final exclamation, smiling happily "I win, I win! My turn next; find me~" with that he jumps into the long grass himself, taking a while to stop gleefully laughing "Okay; I'm ready, come and see if you can find me; but I'm warning you, I am good at hide and go seek!~"

"Grrrrr ok that's it!" She leapt at him claws out as she attempted to strike the Eevee with the scratch attack but stopped in mid strike to pick up tiny rocks to hurl at the Eevee. "Y-yeah! You'd better run!!" What the heck is with this Eevee... he didn't look quite as young as he seemed. She quickly darted off in the other direction not wanting to be hear this annoyance any longer... "Look at you... YOU are RUNNING in FEAR!!" She paused as a lump formed in her throat. "This must be some attack. not making me want to attack... Yeah, that's it!! URGH... GET BACK HERE COWARD!! I'LL MAKE CHOPPED EEVEE OUT OF YOU, I SWEAR ONCE I CATCH YOU YOU'LL BE DUST!!"

Ween hides in the ditch he made earlier, giggling quietly to himself, deciding to help his new friend, keeping his body hidden, but calling out "Marco!~" every so often, enjoying being found more than hiding.

Core bolted out of the tall grass and tripped over the fluff ball thus tumbling, instinctively curling her tail inside her tiny white ball so it wouldn't go out, out into the wide open space falling flat just before reaching a tiny stream. She let out a sigh of relief as she got up and accidentally stepped into the stream releasing a loud sizzle as her scales met freezing water. "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW!" She howled in pain, leapt over the stream and doubled over and hugging her singed foot.

Water plus fire types don't mix... she'd heard that repeated multiple times in her head as her mother had shouted. Several times she came home with similar burns as she watched the sea dwelling pokemon play and splash happily within the waves. She'd silently grown jealous of them and wanted to join them only to have herself wake up several hours later as weird pokemon were hovering over her. She remembered the sting of the waves as they began howling with laughter upon her awakening. She remembered gritting her teeth angrily and just storming off.

She then snapped back to reality and quickly tied the burn with stray leaves hoping no pokemon in the area was near enough to hear the weak howl of pain and just walked off feeling defeated. Yet an old world was yet again opening it's doors. No way she'd let anyone know. She wanted to fight him, dang it! Why didn't he understand? She must get stronger some other way. She picked up a large stick and hurled it off behind her hoping the Eevee wasn't within ear shot... despite the disgustingly huge ears this pokemon seemed to possess...

Ween had indeed heard, and seen the incident, quickly bounding after her "Oh my; I'm so so sorry, I didn't mean for you to trip; honest, I promise." he said, his voice terrified that he had hurt her, he kept up alongside her, not knowing much he could do to help other than apologise and be a footrest.

An icy chill rushed over Core when she heard the Eevee's voice echo through the land and looked the other way when he was beside her. She then paused for a minute keeping her head turned so far in the other direction because of the massive tears that threatened to fall for each step. "You don't get it do you?" Her raspy voice echoed like gravel upon the silence that seemed to make this situation so much worse. She was furious that this Eevee didn't see that she wanted to get stronger... she wanted to show the world that she wasn't some push over... She never wanted to feel so defeated ever again.

"You don't... GET IT!" She screamed and darted off to hide her weakened, sobbing, state. She never wanted any pokemon to see her like this. She was more furious at herself for letting it out in front of a potential opponent. 'Stupid, stupid stupid' rang through her head as she bolted towards the nearest hiding spot where she could sob freely hoping this Eevee wouldn't follow.

Ween, of course would start trying to follow after Core, following her form, and the noises she makes "But I can get it!~" He jeeps chasing her "Wait up!~" He starts searching around for hiding spots where the charmander may be hidden

Core sighed as she reached what appeared to be a long abandoned Weedle hollow in an old, rotting tree. She sat there with her back to the world covering up the hole, yet letting her tail breathe. She sobbed quietly into the back of the tiny hollow. When no more tears could be shed, she just sat there numbly staring at the tiny amount of space she'd given herself hoping the Eevee wouldn't tell the world of her weaknesses. She closed her eyes and just sat there absorbing the atmosphere. Cold, dark, damp... In a way, it reminded her of home... but in another way, the rotting bark acted as a sort of deterrent. Although, she could live with it for now at least, or until she was able to face the world after the Eevee would have blabbed.

She wouldn't let that happen, no way would she let any Pokemon see her weakness. No way would she ever let herself become the victim of what used to be a happy hollow. 'Such a happy little onion...' her mind spat at her darkly, mocking her with what used to be. Do you remember what you used to do for Pokemon and how they treated you differently despite your sweetness? You were forced to become 'Molten' for a reason! Going back isn't an option anymore! You'll just end up the prey of another mob!! The demonic echo of her own inner demon crushing her with every word. Such a SMALL/PATHETIC/WEAK Charmander with such a big reason take back what used to be hers. But in reality... It doesn't belong to you, It never did!

At that thought, she let out a loud growl and struck the back wall with her fist, making a small indention within the rotting wood. "I am not weak. I will never be weak... and I'll destroy all who think so!" She then lifted her white head as her eyes held, not pain or misery, but pure hate. A hate so strong, she'd never be called weak or defenseless again! Or, so she hoped.

She would suddenly feel something warm and soft pressing against her side as Ween silently curls up next to her, leaning against the charmander

Core jumped upon feeling the sudden fluff ball lean up against her. "WHAT IS YOUR PROBLEM, YOU PATHETIC LITTLE IMP!!! DON'T YOU GET THAT I WANT TO FIGHT YOU? THAT I HAVE TO FIGHT YOU?? YOU'RE SO STUPID AND THE WORLD IS GONNA WALK ALL OVER YOU! DON'T YOU GET THAT NOBODY IS TRUSTABLE?? TOUGHEN THE FREAK UP!!! FRIENDSHIP WILL STAB YOU IN THE BACK OVER AND OVER... and over again..." She shouted tapering off upon the memories crowding her mind. It all came flooding back. Sweet little albino, always so helpful, always so cheerful only to be crushed again and again by those she cared about.

Her raspy gravel-like voice ripped through the surrounding air as she glared bloody murder at the Eevee. "I have to fight... I have to get stronger... I never want to feel helpless, or at least not as helpless as I was. I was just like you... Always cheerful and happy. No pokemon ever treated me badly... or so I thought. I'd found out once that my 'gang' of friends had been going behind my back and ganging up against me... The first time my mother helped out... but the second time was different." She let out a fierce snarl as the memory of them whaling on her stung every nerve in her body as well as telling her to out right fry this little fur ball.

"The flurry of attacks that followed came again and again every day. Each day I refused to fight back because I thought I didn't want to hurt them... but it was different. I was weak, far too weak to stop them all... When finally I'd had enough. I used the one move my mother taught me and I Taught them a lesson they'd never forget. I know they'll be back some day but I NEVER want to feel weak again. I must keep training... don't you see? Friendship is... PATHETIC. IF YOU LET ANY OTHER POKEMON KNOW I WAS WEAK OR AM WEAK I'LL COME AFTER YOU WITH CLAWS FLARED DO YOU UNDERSTAND??? I AM NOT WEAK AND I'LL PROVE IT ONE WAY OR ANOTHER. I WILL NEVER FEEL HELPLESS AGAIN! I WILL FIGHT UNTIL MY LAST BREATH TO PROVE THAT I AM STRONG! MY MOTHER MIGHT HAVE BEEN THE STRONGEST CHARIZARD I KNOW! AND DISPITE MY FATHER BEING A PATHETIC PINK BLOB I'LL SHOW YOU HOW STRONG I CAN BE..."

Ween smiles to Core, seeming perfectly calm through all of this "Okay, if friendship is truly useless, then how come those without friends turn into cold, dead husks of what they once were, living off a forced desire to not live life again?" He scratches his ear "Also; if they betrayed you; I hate to say it, but they were probably never in it for friendship in the first place. Much more likely to have gone into a friendship so that they could get stronger, no matter what the cost. True friendship isn't just one pokemon being good to another; friendship is two pokemon, being happy to live with eachother and work off one another. Strength does not equate to loneliness; as the only reason we are strong is so we can lift others high."

Core froze and her expression eased up slightly, but only slightly. She scowled evilly at the Eevee curious as to what his game was for she knew that this game might end up just turning back up to bite her. She remained quiet for quite a while keeping this expression and then straightened up from her fighting stance as her tail flame seemed to flow into a calm sort of serene stalk. True, she was alone but she was alone for a reason, a reason that couldn't be undone even if she wanted it to. How long would this one go on for if she did pursue the friendship. She sat down and stared at the small water burn on her foot opening her mouth a few times as if she would say something only to close it again.

She closed her eyes tightly actually considering the Eevee's words and yet... feeling ashamed of insulting him as well as starting all those fights. "This won't make me stronger... I need to get stronger so I can prove I'm not one to be messed with. You don't understand that, do you?" She paused shifting her eyes towards the gravel on the ground and said. "Fine, I'll play your game... What's your name?"

Ween sighs "I do understand it. But I also know that pokemon are stronger together; we work off eachother in battle to make sure we always win." He suddenly stops when his name is asked, mumbling it quietly "Ween..."

Core paused as her expression took a complete 180 turn which completely erased her scowl upon hearing his name along with the word 'battle'. Despite it's meaning to her in the past, she was almost excited to hear it FINALLY! Her tail swished back and forth as she took a battle stance but then he completed the sentence finishing off with his name. "Ween..."

Core's expression turned to a more confused one when the odd name was said. "Ween? Like the Hallows ween or uh, the spooky holiday? My mother told me all about those but we've never celebrated due to every other Charizard in our family laughing us out of our own cave when they came to visit due to my *DAD*'s side of the family also joining... "HMPH, stupid little blob..." She growled thus returning to the molten side.

"Actually...." he looks down "It means Weenie, like... tiny. My family were very much into descriptive names.... I was the smallest... So I am Ween." he says quietly, looking down still, he sneezes, his head shaking violently with it, before he goes back to being the fluffiest of pillows.
